Sunkuda Campus, located in Bitthadchir Rural Municipality, Bajhang, was established in 2007 to provide quality higher education in the remote regions of Bajhang and Baitadi districts in Sudurpashchim Province, Nepal. As a mission-driven, non-profit community initiative, the campus offers bachelor’s programs in Education, English, Nepali, Health and Population, and Management. It aims to reduce socio-economic vulnerabilities by enhancing educational opportunities, thereby improving livelihoods and reducing poverty. Despite resource constraints, Sunkuda Campus prides itself on its dedicated faculty and management, contributing significantly to educational equity and excellence in one of Nepal’s remotest areas.

Brief Intro

Sunkuda Campus, established in 2007 in Bitthadchir Rural Municipality, Bajhang, Nepal, is a community-owned, non-profit institution dedicated to providing quality higher education in a remote area. As the first campus in its locality, it offers bachelor-level programs in Education, including English, Nepali, Health and Population, and Management. Despite facing resource constraints, the campus has grown to become a leading educational institution in the district, serving approximately 520 students with a staff of 7 lecturers and 3 administrative personnel. Under the leadership of Campus Chief Chakra Bhadur Dhant and Vice Campus Chief Lalit Bahadur Bist, both holding M.Ed. degrees in Nepali, Sunkuda Campus aims to promote excellence and equity in education, aligning with national and international education goals. The institution plays a crucial role in reducing socio-economic vulnerabilities and improving livelihoods in the region through accessible higher education.
